Our awesome Carpentry, Foundation and Engineering students and staff have recently made some beautiful items which were donated to help with fundraising for the for the NZ Dunedin Cancer Society Ball.

Small BBQ table 

  • Made by Otago Polytechnic Level 2 Foundation Studies.
  • Thanks to Jamie Todd.
  • Sold for $550. 

Repurposed Kauri food platters

  • Two platters made from repurposed seating at the Allanton Community Hall. 
  • Thanks to Grant Beel.
  • Sold for $400 each. 

Repurposed wine barrel platters

  • Three platters made from repurposed wine barrels.
  • Thanks to Beelee Homes Ltd and Jacqui Rose- Anderson for donating the barrel.
  • And to Grant Beel for making the platters.
  • Sold for $466 each.

Repurposed tables

  • Two tables made with the support of Otago Polytechnic Carpentry and Engineering teams. 
  • Thanks to Kevin Dunbar and Nick Moss for making the table along with Vulcan Steel for supplying the steel for the stem.
  • The timber tops are made from the old purlin battens when they replaced the roof of L Block.
  • Sold for $400 and $350.
