Get along to our Retooled Charity Auction to bid for one-off pieces designed by our talented students, and raise funds for an important cause.

Our students have taken gifted or pre-loved objects and reworked, reimagined and repurposed these for a new life.

The result is a diverse range of unique items including furniture, lamps, dress coats, casual bags, beanies, womenswear, menswear and even a slot-car set!

Local artists Lara Hattingh and Anna Maackiyil have also generously donated works for the auction - and as well as auction items, there will be a range of fixed-price products available for purchase on the night.

Thanks to our students, staff and sponsors!

This awesome project brings together 28 students from Culinary Arts, Product Design, Communication Design and Fashion Design, who have collaborated to support the important work of the Red Cross.

A special shout out to all the outstanding technical staff who have worked hard to bring the project to life, supporting our students to realise their innovative ideas.

We would like to acknowledge the EPICentre workshop for their support during the making of these items. Epic (experiment, production, innovation, construction), is a shared workshop facility available for all Otago Polytechnic ākonga, without the support of this workshop and its staff this would not have been possible.

This year’s event is generously supported by Otago Polytechnic, Covermarq, Emerson's Brewery, and Otago Furniture.

(Viewing from 5:30pm, Auction at 6pm)
